Alex Clare

This music video is Alex Clare’s “Too Close”. This video is a representation of life in some form or another. The styling and lack of colour in this video initiates a sense of a dark, grimy, worthless existence and the uprising against the faceless entity. The camera plays an important psychological part when it comes to the styling as well. The slowed actions of the fighters forces the audience to believe that any actions they have to protect themselves is futile. The same can be said when the fighters actions are sped up. When the camera hides behind objects it gives a voyeurism that you may not be there but you can’t get away, ergo you are still in danger.
